We hope to see all of you for a fun celebration in less than 3 short weeks!
Birthday Blessings!
Missions begins at home
In Acts 1:8 we see that the first place Jesus told them to go was their local community. Jesus said, “Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Jerusalem was their own local community and with “Judea,” “Samaria,” and “the remotest part of the earth” the mission field expanded. We, as a church support local need based ministries. Missions begins at home.
To name a few:
We support the Pregnancy Help Center
We support the Beatitude House.
In addition to these our members and friends of the church are active in their communities helping those in need. We believe we all must be like the Good Samaritan seeking to love and help people in our day-to-day lives. The greatest commandment is to love God and love people (Matthew 22:37-40). Jesus teaches that even our enemy is our neighbor whom we are to love (Luke 10:30-37).
We have local ministries through VBS donations, the annual “Great-give-a-way,” the Thanksgiving Dinner and other opportunities.
